This Is My First!

And boy was it a surprise! I was shocked into the next week when I found out. We were using birth control but I am in the 4% for which it didn't work. The fact that I was on birth control has me worried too. The doctor has said for me not to worry but I still do. I am having a rough time with nausea and have thrown up now for seven months. I have been having to go to the hospital at least once a week and have IV fluids to keep me hydrated. Plus, I have a genetic disease in my family that will necessitate me having an amniocentesis. That has me worried. I've had to quit work because I am constantly throwing up so we are down to one income too. Ah well, when I get this young man here I am sure it will be worth it but it's been a rough road.

Sometimes the rough road is the best traveled. I was sick constantly with my first as well, there was no morning sickness. It was morning, noon and night for me. Though when my second came around it was only in the mornings (odd huh). Hang in there, within the first few minutes you meet your new baby, you will know its all been worth it.

I am sorry you are having such a rough time but I am sure your baby will be healthy and as soon as you hold him you'll forget all the rest. Congratulations!
