Taking Care Of Multiple Children

Taking Care Of Multiple Children

Postby AnnaMae » Sat Jul 25, 2009 2:45 pm

This is my first pregnancy and I was thinking of the women who have twins, triplets, etc. I am just getting used to the idea of taking care of my one baby. How do they cope? Wouldn't it be hard to let one baby cry while taking care of the other? I just don't see how they do it. Is there anyone here who has had more than one child at a time?

I only have one child, but I understand your curiosity about taking care of multiple children. I guess it would really need the utmost cooperation of the other half. Or get someone else to help out. It may put the mother out of an income generating job, won't it? :(

I know! I just can't imagine. I am the youngest of my family so I am not used to taking care of little ones. I've been trying to go over to a friend's house a lot who has a 5 month old to try to learn how to take care of the baby but I'm wondering if I'll be able to do this. I just couldn't imagine having multiples to take care of! :o

Every new mother worries that she won`t be able to do it. But you will be surprised at how well you do. The doctors and nurses at your pediatricians office help a lot. I had two kids and my husband has 3. You kind of learn as you go. I was scared the first time but I did great. You`ll be fine.
